Dots & Tots was created from a passion for giving children the most authentic home-from-home, nature-inspired nursery experience and the very best start to their educational journey.
We believe the voice of the child is the key to unlocking a world of learning through play, exploration and discovery.

Through meaningful real-life experiences, children are encouraged to ask questions, solve problems, think critically and develop confidence in their own abilities.

The importance of risk, challenge and reward
At Dots & Tots, we see risky play not as something to be feared, but as an important opportunity for children to learn about consequences, make decisions and solve problems.
Through authentic, real-life experiences such as using real tools in our construction area, preparing snacks using child-friendly utensils, campfire cooking, water play and caring for animals, children develop resilience, confidence, independence and essential life skills within a safe and supportive environment where curiosity and exploration are celebrated

Our vision is to create an environment where rich conversations nurture language and communication skills, where curiosity is celebrated, and where children feel safe and secure to try new experiences and challenge their own boundaries.
While the seven areas of learning form the foundations of the Early Years curriculum, we believe children thrive when these are enriched by strong community connections, meaningful partnerships and opportunities to explore the wider world around them.
Through partnerships with paediatric first aid trainers, a clinical psychologist and a diverse range if external professionals, our children and staff benefit from specialist knowledge, guidance and enriching hands-on experiences that extend beyond the traditional nursery environment.
We also recognise the important role families play in a child's learning journey and actively encourage parents and carers to become involved in nursery life through events, experiences and opportunities to share in their children's learning and development
